DP Trials

Dynamic Positioning (DP) Trials involve testing a vessel’s dynamic positioning system against IMCA and client specific requirements.

Vessel Inspections

General inspections of a ship to assess its condition, safety, and compliance with relevant local and international regulations.

On/Off Hire Bunker / Condition surveys

Inspections are conducted when a vessel is being chartered (on hire) or returned (off hire) to ensure the condition of the vessel, any damages, and to assess its suitability for the intended service.

ISM/ISPS/MLC Audits

ISM (International Safety Management) Audits: Ensure compliance with the ISM Code, which focuses on the safe management and operation of ships and pollution prevention.

Safety Management Audits and gap analysis

These are evaluations of the effectiveness and efficiency of a company’s management system against specific client requirements i.e against ADNOC and or OVID requirements etc, particularly in relation to safety, operations, and regulatory compliance.

Pre-purchase Inspections

Detailed inspections conducted before the purchase of a vessel to assess its condition and value, involving a thorough check of the vessel’s structure, machinery, certificates and other relevant documentation.

OCIMF SIRE/OVID/CMID Inspections

OCIMF SIRE (Ship Inspection Report Programme): A standardized inspection protocol focused on the safety and operational integrity of tankers.

OVID (Offshore Vessel Inspection Database): Similar to SIRE but focused on offshore vessels, used by oil companies to assess vessel suitability.

CMID (Common Marine Inspection Document): A standard inspection format used to assess the condition and safety of marine vessels, particularly in the offshore industry.

Pre-vetting gap analysis

An inspection conducted prior to an official vetting inspection, by oil majors or charterers, to identify and rectify any potential issues that could lead to a negative vetting report.

Warranty Survey

Independent inspections conducted to verify that vessel meets the required standards and conditions, typically associated with insurance claims or guarantees.

Navigation Audits

Assessments of a vessel’s navigational practices, equipment, and procedures to ensure compliance with international regulations and safety standards.
